OBJETIVOS:
Estudar a variedade de correntes de pensamento e abordagens que fundamentam a pesquisa na área da Inteligência Artificial, hoje em dia.

EMENTA:
História das idéias na área da Inteligência Artificial. As abordagens da IA clássica. Os avanços das décadas de 1970, 1980 e 1990. O paradigma dos sistemas baseados em agentes. As fundamentações psicológicas, sociológicas, econômicas e biológicas. As principais linhas de pesquisa da IA atual. Formalismo e pesquisa experimental na IA contemporânea. As perspectivas atuais da área dos sistemas multiagentes.
